MI Unemployment Hits 15.2%

Michigan Unemployment Up to New Record 15.2%

Michigan’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in June rose one and one-tenth percentage points to 15.2 percent, according to data released Wednesday by the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth.

The total number of unemployed in the state reached 740,000 in June, the highest monthly total in Michigan’s current official series dating back to 1976. June’s unemployment rate was highest for the state since May 1983.

  • Im a local 3 journey thats been out of work since early june.You have men in so called companies that are called comoany men,They them selfs dont give a dam for anyone else as long as they have ajob too go to.The shop steward asks the men too go on there lunch hour too rally against none union jobs.well i will tell you i will not do that any more,these people ere gettinga kick out of this.These are my comments.
